Give a few more weeks and we will have the house repaired and the guest room open for business. We got hit pretty bad with Hurricane Wilma, but hey!, we'll be back on line just in time for the new hurricane season...

Hi! Just got my time off approved... The directions (going north) tell me to travel I-77 get off at exit 13 which will put me on I-85 (they intersect at this point just above Charlotte)...and continue on I-85 for about 97 miles...at which point I will take a jog onto Rock Creek Dairy Road for about 1/2 mile which will then put me onto US-70 and I will almost be to Elon to get Mom.

Gone are the days when I was able to Red-Eye it from KW to NJ in one trip ...I'll be taking a stop over in Jax before continuing and see this part of the trip being day two. So, if I leave KW early on Friday, I will meet up with ya'll on Saturday afternoon-ish. Does this sound right? Where would you (and the rest of the crew) like to have lunch/dinner..? Luke, PM me and leave me a contact number so I can call you when I am getting close.

That would be fun. I will be leaving tomorrow morning at about 6 a.m Trying to give myself plenty of comfrotable driving time considering it will be the holiday weekend AND in case I have to detour because of weather/construction/brush fires or stop to "flirt" with the nice police man while he asks me for my address and phone number ... I anticipate being up in Jax by or about 8 pm and hope to be able to meet the crew at Hendrick the next day.

Ducky is Purple Haze with a red roof/mirror caps and check pattern on front quarter panels...I try not to dress like my partner, so I'll be wearing jeans and a purple/white striped shirt....I am about 5'4", white female, short brown hair...(you'll have to guess my age and weight.... )...just look for the someone wondering around with that "lost and confused" look.... Hi, everybody! Thanks for the hospitality. I had a good time and I wish I could've met more people.

Luke, I didn't realize it until you were showing someone under the bonnet, you have blue wire covers and eyeballs! How coordinated and trendy! But I think that falls somewhere near fanticism. By the time I got back to Key West, there were bug parts splattered all over the car! (...and the car wash was closed! )

From start to finish, Ducky put on another 2,134.8 miles.



Moonpie, I tried calling you to let you know I got into town earlier than I anticipated. First the operator said you were not available. When I tried again, it advised me I had to use an area code. I finally got an answer and I hope it was your voice mail I left a message on...otherwise, someone's wife/girlfried is going to want to know why another women is leaving messages on their phone to go out to lunch... (I hate when that happens... )

Smokey, the house is about 75% finished...give it 'til about the end of August and you and your other half can come down. Do you scuba dive or snorkle? Lobster "Buggin' " Season opens...get your sport fishing license with a lobster stamp... This invite is not just for Smokey...
