Best place to buy 05 tranny?

I'm looking to buy an 05 tranny. Can someone point me in the direction of the best place to find one?

Hmm, I don't know if you want one that grinds six gear slightly unless you double clutch it, but I may be willing to part with mine for a trade for yours?

Just go to your local juck yard and start there. Do go to one you can trust, not Sanford and Sons. They will just get on their computer and track one down. Figure about $1700 to $2100. Ask for the serial number of the car it's coming out of and check with a Mini dealer to make sure it's really an '05-06. If your lucky they may tell you that car was ordered with LSD.
I bet you find one in a day.
This is how I got mine. I went to my local truck junk yard and they handled everything for me. I then took the tranny up to Turner Motorsport and they threw in an LSD.

I did not pull the trigger but I had no problem finding several.....Onasled's advice about the numbers to confirm is something I did not think of......there is a data base from which parts are sourced......also Onasled's price range is what I found as well.

glad your not leaving us......

http://car-part.com/ allows you to see most everything the junkyards do online. It will give you a good idea of the range of prices they are scanning when deciding to sell you one. Good luck.
