Scraped rim

New member and my first post.

I recently got to close to the curbing at the drive up window (should teach me a lesson for eating fast food!) now I have a nice scrap on my new alloy left front rim. Is there anyone out there from Chicagoland MINI that might be abkle to tell me where I can get this touched up without spending an arm or a leg?

Thanks,
EW

Hi & welcome to the curbed club. I am a charter member myself. I have managed to curb 2 wheels in 3 different places . I want a new set of wheels but I will not let myself buy them til I can quit curbing the ones that I have

Good luck getting them fixed. I have seen this article posted here on NAM of how to sand a repaint them yourself.

Thanks, I appreciate your response. Just spoke to the dealer and they will the same thing for $55.00, I think I'll leave it up to the pros!

yeah, on my SA's desk, they have a little flyer about this service. I wonder if all dealerships charge the same amount? Please let us know how it went, and also, post pics if possible. thanks!

This company ain't cheap, but they do great work if you dont want to DIY. Started in Mass, and now they have a shop in Phoenix and somewhere around Detroit (I think)

(no affiliation, but they are nice enough to sponsor some regional SCCA autocoss events here in New England)
