I know what you're talking about-I have them on my car.

However, the car came with them, so I don't know where to get them. I'll do a little looking later tonight and see if I can find them listed somewhere.

i got em at classic

i know what your talking about too
i ordered the chrome covers to replace the red ones that came with the car
i went to that parts department at CLASSIC in Mentor
i put them on myself .
Very very easy install.
1. Just remove the plastic cover that sits on the bumper itself
pull out and up
2.Then the covers that are o there can be pulled off.
3. The chrome ones just pop on
4. Then replace the lower plastic cover.

They were ony 20 bucks each
I love the look of the chrome
I also ordered the chrome roll bar covers installed them myself as well
G d luck to ya....

Mine came with the car, so I assume the dealer sells them.

I see you have the chrome mirror-backs as well as the chrome boot hinges. It could be that your car is accessorized with the chrome exterior pkg., grille included. My 02/05 MCS Cabrio (chrome ext. & int.)has checker-back mirrors in place of the chrome(my request).
The dealer carrys these accsesories.

Be sure and get the chrome strip above the license plate. It didn't cost that much and was a breeze to put on.

Hello My2ndMini. You said that you bought chrome roll bar covers ?
Where did you get them, and how much were they ? I've been looking for
some for my 'Vert. I'm not familiar with "classic" at Mentor. Is that a Mini dealer ??

Thanks.

chrome

Hey there,
Classic is the MINI dealership that is located in Mentor, Ohio
I would geuss that any Mini dealership would sell them.
They are sold in the parts dept. they have to be ordered...
They are the original ones that come on the car when you order the chrome package. they are sold in 4 pieces and are $20.00 per piece.

They are basicly the same as the black ones that are on your car now, they dont fit over that piece you need to unscrew the backs of the rear headrest pry apart the roll bar are you replace the black parts with the chrome parts
its not really hard it seems the entire car is in pieces that can be snapped off and snapped back on
hope that helps let me know

Thank you for the info. It's funny, when I picked up my Mini I asked the dealer lots of questions about adding things like the chrome roll bars.
He told me that my best bet was after market. Same type of things, less money. I haven't really found that to be true as of yet.

I'm going up to a dealer next week to get a door lock replaced.
I'll look into when I'm up there.

Thanks again.

chrome roll bar covers

Out Motoring - a vendor on the NAM web site also sells the chrome covers for the roll bars. I believe they are about $90. Hope this helps!

Hello,
I tried to change the black roll bar cover to the chrome one today. As MY2ndMINI (06-09-2006) instructed, I unscrewed the backs of the rear headrest (2 screws), but only the headrests came off and nothing else seemes to come apart. Would you give me more details how you installed the chrome roll bar cover?
Thanks!

you asked for it

Well first i will say i am not a professional and the advise i give is just my own personal advise and is based only on my own personl adventure in installing the chrome roll bar covers on my own... With that said, it seems sorta scarey but the entire black mat piece under the roll bars is snapped together. front and back pieces that extend the entire width of the back seat. what you actually do is pull and pull hard and they will snap apart. If you look at the chrome roll covers that will give you an idea on how it all snapps together, when you get everything pried apart ( carefully i should say you will need to pry apart the black roll covers it will reveal a raw metal roll bar under it. Then you will install the chrome covers make sure you look at the ones you remove they will state left and right so you put the correct one on the correct side, then you will need to snap it all back into place.
It may help if you had someone to help line everything up when you go to put it back together. but. thats the jist of it there are a total or four pieces that all fit together like a puzzle,
where are you located? if your close i may be able to help you
let me know if that helped.
