FRS Radio update...If anyone is still awake!

5-19 - Update - got a nice Motorola T6530XLR set at Costco! The new ones with NOAA weather radio (10 mi range...sure they rate then line of site on flat ground with no obstructions and that is only for the GMRS band...FRS is always limited)...I do not feel like going thru the FCC for a GMRS License!) - $50! Nice thing about the "club" pkgs is that they come with stras.NIMH batteries (instead of the Nicads) and 2 sets of Earbuds, Ivox, etc! We will see since Costco has a great return policy!

I Will see what channel is used and figure them out in the am...also will be bringing the Escort 8500 Radar detector Burned some vintage CD tunes from the 70's-80's for driving music too!

Regards
jeff

Good morning, did you say you also got a recharge stand with them. I have four sets of radios all with recharge capabilites. Never use just regular battery's. We are on channel 7 sub 21. Glenn

too many indians, not enought soldiers...

The gov. says that you must have a license to use a GMRS !!! Let me give you some facts.... there are several hundred thousand radios sold in the USA with only a very few used by licensed ops. If the GOV. can"t police the the internet for illegal downloading of cds, YOU DO THE MATH !!!!! Our borders are can"t be policed, our electric grid, our ports, water supplies, buildings and transportation systems are as safe as my mini at 200 MPH!!! As Custer found out, even he had trouble with the numbers....too many indians, not enought soldiers!!!!:impatient

Quite correct....The Gov't cannot even police itself!!!

40 years ago we had cb's with linear amps in the trunk of our cars....Highly "illegal" never caught us then either...
