Lowered Lincoln Navigator?

I just saw the weirdest looking thing today.

Some guy had taken a Lincoln Navigator (you know one of those monstrous luxury SUVs) and lowered it about a foot so it rode about as high as a small Toyota pickup. He had the windows all blacked-out and a really loud and noisy exhaust installed. It was the stupidest looking thing I ever saw! What ever was he thinking!?

LOL – you must not live in California if this is the first ghetto sled you have seen. It keeps us laughing anyway.

If fact, I live in Northern California but I don't get to the East Bay much - except today. I guess I didn't realize how sheltered a life I live on the Peninsula

I saw a lowered esclade a few weeks ago on 22 in wheels and air bags. The running boards were on the ground. You steped on them and they went no where. It looked very good. NOT logical but well put together and exicuted.

What purpose does "pimpin'" serve, being a poser = no street cred.

Just different strokes I guess....it takes a lot of work even to bag a vehicle, besides going further with a body drop and all that...there's a lot more room (literally and figuratively) for customization than with a car. I'm not talking literally "pimping"

Ghetto sled is a great description.

Back during The Depression, conspicuous consumption was a Duesenberg. Something called "class" was the norm.

Nowadays, conspicuous consumption is taking a mass produced utilitarian barge, and wrecking what utilitarian assests were included. Lack of class is now the norm. As far as I'm concerned, these vehicles say 'I've got more money than sense, and I don't give a **** (insert classless term promoted by this culture here) about anyone else.'

The funny thing is, you typically see these things parked on the front lawn of a two bedroom shack in the ghetto where the owner lives with his parents and at least 4 more generations of family.

That is great ! LOL

I have seen a couple of duallie pickups that have been lowered like that around here. In fact one of them was a 4x4. Now why would you do that to a vehicle that was designed to carry/haul a large load.........?

DUMB ! ! !
