Curb Rash

Is there a home remedy to "fix" curb rash? I have moderate curb rash on 2 wheels, and one that is ALMOST severe. (Some one wasnt paying attention.) cry: I have 17'' s-lites.

if it's pretty deep, send it in for repair.

your dealer might have a mobile service guy that might be able to do it
for you too.

Search the threads, someone posted their recipe for fixing curb rash once (probably a year or so ago.) They used Ford or Chevy touch-up paint from the neighborhood auto stuff shop.

I managed to put curb rash on my wheels the very first day I got my MINI. The older parts of Sactown have huge curbs, and -- well, the MINI just corners a lot better than my prior car!

qwertmonkey, go to your dealer & get touch up for the wheels. You can sand the rough part out then apply layers of paint to the dammage. It won't be perfect but you would need to look hard to see the dammage.
As heavy as the "S lites" are, IMHO they will be the most desireable wheel. It's design is a kind of retro 1960's Cooper Climax wheel & complements the present design of the car. Just a thought.....

Ya, we recently bought a used Subaru that had some curb rash on a couple wheels. The dealer we bought it from has a guy that comes to do wheel repair ever couple weeks, and he did a heck of a job. If I didn't know that the wheels had the curb rash, I'd never be able to pick out the blemishes. I was impressed.

Of course, I am **** about not hitting the curb with my wheels, so this my first experience with wheel repair. Maybe I'm just easily impressed

Perfect! My damages might be a little too deep, but I'll give it a shot. Noce find!

Wheels America

Or you can have it done professionally by Wheels America. They do an awesome job and it will look like you have a brand new wheel. I just had a BBS RK with bad curb rash repaired there and it looks new. About $120. A ,itle pricey but cheaper than a new rim for sure.
