For those of you who already have your Mini safely in your possession....and were tracking it the entire way, including on the shipping site....about how long did it take for your cars to get to the Distribution Center from the port it came in to? I think the Takasago was due in to New York this past weekend and it is probably late, but I just wanted to see if anyone knew how long it took after the boat came in.......Thanks!

 

L.Mini - once dropped off at VPC - it took only 5 days or less to get mine cleared and on a truck to my dealer on east coast. The further away you are from east cost the longer it will take. Also, if you ordered an S, these tend to take a bit longer at VPC for some reason. Do a search and you will find some additional answers/experiences as well.

LMini, my S landed at the port on 7/11 and it arrived at my dealer on 7/19. The dealer told me it was usually a week from landing until they had them. Hope this helps, hang in there your mini will come.

On the shipping website....when it shows you the little chart with info as to when the car was booked and shipped....when it arrives at the US port, does it put that information on there as well?

 

Mine showed when it reached port but it did not reflect when the car was unloaded until I called them to ask about it. The next day it showed 'discharged', which I think means they took it off of the ship.

 

The people at Mini said it reached the port on Sunday, but the shipping website does not reflect that. (I guess this could just be another case of the shipping site having software problems.)
