15, and 16" owners, what size tires are you running?
Im deciding on a wheel and tire package this week. Im looking at the Enkei RPF1...looks are good, but the weight is great! And I can get a killer deal.
So my question to both 15 & 16" owners is this: What tire size are you running? The RPF1 is only 9.5 lbs in a 15...but I was told it would be hard to find a performance wheel, that will fit with the reduction from a 17/45. The same applys for the 13.xlb 16" wheel, any response would be appreciated

I have 15's and 16's for autocrossing. My 15x7.5, +43 SSR's need a 1/16" spacer in the rear or the wheel flexs enough during an autocross, to lightly rub the trailing arm. My 16x8, +42 ce28n's are very close front and rear but don't need spacers unless I go to a tire with a mounted width more than 9" in front.
I do think I remember someone saying they had trouble with the 15x7 RPF1 though, so you better wait to hear from someone who's tried them on MINI. I don't remember what the issue was and it may even have been a Miata that had the problem even though they run the same 15's I have.
I have 205/50/15's, 215/45/16's and 215/40/16's. Waiting for some Hankook 225/45/15's to come to market. These really are to short for street use though. For street use a 205/55/15 would be a great choice or a 205/50/16.

15" Enkei RPF1
I was looking at the 15" RPF1's also and remembered a thread where somebody had an interference issue on the front. There was also a thread about somebody running those wheels in autocross STX class. Here's the response I got regarding my question about fitment issues on the front of the MINI:
"The RPF1 did have a rubbing issue on my 2002 MCS. This may or may
not
be the case for later models. The issue was related to a very long
bolt
that extended from the hub carrier on the car...not the caliper. What
I
ended up doing is taking the nut off of it, finding a slightly thinner
one two swap to and then grinding the bolt down to where the top of the
nut was flush with the top of the bolt. I then used a strong grade of
loctite to make sure that nothing worked itself loose. After two year
of driving, autocrossing, etc. I've had no problems with them
loosening."
Note, this was on an earlier car. I have an early '03 and it appears I will have to do the same modification as described above. When I had the car up on a lift last week, it looks like it's the bolt from the lower ball joint but I didn't have the wheel there to try it. Maybe somebody else who has a bit more experience with this combination can chime in here....
Hope that helps. Good luck that's a great looking wheel and you can't beat the weight savings.
