S-lites, same car 2 different castings?

I took my wheels off to clean and wax them and I noticed that there are two different castings! Anyone else notice this, or perhaps know the reason for it?

This is interesting. Can you remember exactly which ones were on the front and which were on the rear? Did you rotate rims and tires ever before this?

I'm going to poke into my garage and look at my S-lites at are in my R90 boxes...

I wonder what the likelihood is that they weigh the same.

I saw the same in my wheels, when I was rotating them. Both were made in different countries in the former eastern block. I am looking for a new set of tires, but not only because of these, I want less weight.

Hmmm - I'm thinking the same.... on MINI2 FAQ they're listed as +50mm. But in this thread another member said theirs had +48mm stamped on them. 48mm would make more sense...

I'll head under the car to check again tomorrow. The rears are worn, so Ill know which were where when I got the car from the dealership. My build date was 03/05. Perhaps Ill take them off and check for offset stamps as well...

HUGE file of the pics I posted earlier. If you look them over you can make out IS48 on the first pic on the top spoke:

http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...ZkMzF5NTQx.jpg

And IS48 upside down on the lower left spoke in this picture:

http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com/we...ZkMzF5NTQx.jpg

So it would seem +48 for both...but still different casts. One clearly says Hungary, but I cant make out anything on the other.

Yes, please CROP down the photos to make this thread operational.

My MCS is a February, 2006 build.
All four of my S-Lites have the additional support rib. They say, "Made in Czech. Republic" and have the "Ronal" logo on the outside where the tire mounts. 48mm.

I noticed the difference when I had to get my 2 passenger side wheels replaced last year, and then removed all my wheels to clean them inside and out. I asked my service advisor about it, and he didn't know anything about it.

All mine look like the bottom. I have rotated and cleaned them several times. My car was built in 10/03
