After reading the MF post on grille badges, and Todd's comment about setting up customized runs, I was wondering if there was any interest in putting together an order for badges of the Chicago city flag?

I'm a geek for things like that, and I plan on doing extensive road tripping in my new MINI. I'd like to have a little local color on display.

 

I would definitley spring some money for some badges. I really like the badges, but don't want to order just the generic ones. If we can't get one together, can someone how has one maybe give us an idea of how to make one on our own? I would also love to make custom ones.

 

I'm in. I love the idea of these magnetic badges.

Check with the folks over at Metroplexmini.org. Both the Houston and Dallas clubs have had enameled badges made. The Dallas Club had studs welded on to the backs and have had trouble with them. The Houston club has mounting holes. I believe the cost for the badges is in the low 20s.

Doing magnetic ones like the badges I created for MotoringFile would be pretty cheap and would work well with the standard MINI badge holder. And btw I've been toying with a CMMC badge for awhile. We could offer something like that through the club and pay set-up fees so they would be cheap for club members.

 

hm.. is everybody here in the club? I haven't had the chance to join yet with school and being away every summer. But this summer is looking good.

 

If you guys decide to do a grille badge.. count me in We were thinking of designing one for MOTD, but I don't think there's enough time.

mataku... come on out to the next club outing if you can. Gabe, ChicagoMini and I are CMMC. I know mayim is too although I'm not sure if we got to chat during the Poker Run. I roam the North Shore quite a bit, so you might catch me sometime.

 

MiniMac, sorry we didn't get to chat at the poker run. I didn't put two and two together until I got back home. I rode along with Steve. Nice cabrio and glad to hear it's getting fixed.

mataku, as a newbie to the club, by all means, come along for an event. Everyone is great and I felt at ease soon after arriving.

Gabe, I like the idea of a CMMC logo and the Chicago flag as previously mentioned. Hell, I'll assemble a small stable of these things.

This who the SSM club uses for their badges $20 a piece very high quality.

I haven't been in the area pretty much since getting my MINI, but plan on being in town for a good deal of the summer I'd love to see what you guys come up with.

And yes I think I'm the only club (SSM) member with IL plates.
