wow Bryson City...that's kinda far from the activities...you'll be burning up a lot of gas. Bring the MINI!

Just out of curiosity, PARTSMAN, were there no rooms left at the Microtel in Robbinsville? That is going to be a MIGHTY long drive for you to get to all the MINI events....

 

Clo's right...Bryson City's an hour away from the Fontana.

 

Not to rub this in anyone's face, but I did call Fontana two days ago and got a room for Friday for my dad; he's coming to visit me from Raleigh. The girl on the phone did laugh when I said I wanted a room but, maybe because it was only for one night, she found one in the inn for him. It might be worth it to keep calling (perhaps a couple times a day? ) to see if space frees up...

 

An hour drive in a Mini is like a 15 min. ride in everything else!! Especially when you go topless

 

I didn't call the Microtel because I figured they would be all booked up. To my surprise, I just called and got their last room with a jacuzzi!! I guess there will be a lot of MINIs in the parking lot there, cool!

 

Glad you were able to book in Rville...way better than Bryson City....man.

 

Good news! You'll enjoy it....much better to be closer to the action, for sure!

 

Congrats Partsman, but that shows that people need to re-check various places as rooms become available again for various reasons.
