Anyone having any problems with their leather seats showing premature wear or scratches in the finish?

After 7k miles, my seats are still in good shape, noo wear at all. Just a few small creases from getting in/out but that will happen with all leather. I'm very happy with the way it is holding up.

darksky,
i have the lapis leather seats.
i had to have the seat portion of the drivers seat replaced do to...poor craftmanship.
this is a prob w/ a small percentage of lapis leather seats.
other than that...i have no issues w/ the leather seats.

I took delivery Jan 20th and have only 1400 miles on mine and I'm already seeing creasing on the left side of the driver's seat. I'm not too worried that it will develop into a big problem as it looks about the same as what I've experienced with other cars. I'll keep my eyes on it, but I think it's normal.

I've had my mini for about 5 months and have some small creasing on the drivers side but no sign of scrathes or wear. Whenever I put the rear seats down to carry something large the rear seat belts leave a little indentation in the rear leather seats, Im afraid it might make a crease or puncture over time and it kinda worries me when ever I put the rear seats down.

Dennis what is the problem that the some Lapis are having???? I have creases and the passenger seat looks to have sort of scratchy-type of creases although they are very faint. WOuld more conditioning help? I've only conditioned once and have 9800+ miles.

Thanks!

My Lapis seats are creasing on the left side of the backrest at about the kidney height (drivers). The passenger seat has several scratches in the finish due to the rivets on Levis or maybe a metal concho on a belt. I have had leather seats in several cars and never seen this type of wear before. I was in Texas and stopped at MotionMini in Houston. The Service manager said he had seen a few problems with the Lapis leather and had to replace a seat cover already. I am worried about the life of these covers.

14k and no real wear. I'm very careful how I get in and out of the car. A habit I picked up from 30 years of driving classic cars. MB
