Wow I would say that the Audi TT deserves an acceptable crash test rating

Firefox

Yup, Firefox is a no go. Maybe I'll have to dig out a crappy browser.

For people w/out MSIE for their browser go here and click on "Highway Miracle caught on Tape" under the video section on right side.

I love this quote, it has to be one of the best sig quotes I've seen in weeks!

( I have been to Australia and New Zealand both - this is excellent advice! )

I don't know if you found this or thought of it, but it pretty much rocks.

CeridianMN: When I first moved to the US from Australia I saw an advertising sign in San Francisco for "Fanny Packs" - I just about died...but that is a whole different thread!

His angles worked overtime!

If you don't believe in God after seeing this, you never will.
No amount of drivers training could have helped this guy. Why did the truck driver lose it so bad?

I avoid the LIE like the plague.
People die there every week.
Allways a poorly mantained truck involved.
Last year it was lumber falling of a truck that killed some millionair director.

yeh, i saw that video earlier in the week. amazing. the news was talking
about the bus and how great the video recorder was but failed to report
about the details of the car that got pinned. im glad he survived the crash.

i think it was just mere luck that he survived.

I guess the car's structure helped, but he was very lucky nothing protruded into the passenger cabin far enough to kill him. There was a hell lot of twisted metal and heavy objects all around him for sure.

he got pinned under the truck? if so, i think the trailer actually protected
him from more impact from the bus. he was lucky that the rear tires of the
trailer didn't go over him.

The TT convertible was on my list when I bought my MCSC, the price ultimately drove me off. Too rich for my blood

yeah, the Today Show ran a piece on this, focusing more on the company who put the camera in the bus, from the "decrease insurance cost" perspective, since they're valuable tools for accident reconstruction.

On Topic w/ the Off Topic part of this thread, this interesting story in today's Boston Globe:

''WE'VE POURED YOU a beer," says the new television ad from Australia's tourism department, and ''we've saved you a spot on the beach. So where the bloody hell are you?"

At least, that's how the original version goes. In Britain, however, the commercial has been rejected by the Broadcast Advertising Clearance Center, which says it can't air till the ''bad language" is revised. And what's the naughty word? Not hell, as an innocent Yank might think. It's bloody.

Complete story here:

http://www.boston.com/news/globe/ide...s_to_swear_by/

Guess bloody is like fanny?
