Here is what I have!

 

My MINI is getting forge motorsports to rework their IC for the MCS. they are wanting to ad another row of fins in the back and lower the front a little so it will sit at more of an angle. its going to be sweet.
(didnt mean to start another engine bay thread. sorry, maybe people will just forget about this one..

 

No problem at all! Or maybe they will forget the one that I started a while back. Check it out as it has about three pages worth of stuff! Might find something that you like.

Sorry, I'm still kinda new to MINI's, and don't have one yet, so I don't know. But, what is that black cover for above the IC, and why do some people have it, and other's don't? Is that the IC divertor? And what exactly does it do?

That rubber is to seal off water from going onto the coil and plug wires. It is also to capture the in coming air on top the I.C so it doesn't loose it's air volumn else where. When the bonnet is at closed position, it should fit snug to the bottom side of the bonnet at the scoop.

 

Oh, forget to mention those are the Alta large top mount I.C. It comes with the seal Top notch product from Alta
