Hey Guys!! Ok i need a little help. I am ordering my MINI fairly soon if all goes well! I had my heart set on HB/B but after seeing a HB/W on the road I dont know what I want! What do you guys think? Which do you think looks better? Is there anyone that bought a HB/W or HB/B that regrets their color choices? Or loves them!!! Just so you guys have an idea of what I'm going for, I wanna get a HB MCS with the JCW package and a racing stripe to match the color of the roof. Thanks for everything!

 

Are you getting a sunroof?

I think the HB/B would look sharper, but that's just my opinion.

I am picking up my HB/B MCS next week. I added the Anthricite headliner, HB dash, and Blue leather to complete the look.

 

When I ordered my MCS last year I had it as a HB/B with black stripes, I changed the order to HB/W with white stripes and am glad I did. But there was not an option for silver roof avaiable, which looks pretty good.

 

I've got a personal thing for the classic Mini look, so I naturally love the white roof. I'd also consider HB/HB. I like the higher-contrast tones, so HB/B would be out for me. But this is just one perspective among many on the matter.

 

I have the HB/W with racing stripes and love it.

 

There's something about blue and black together that just seems dull to me...I also like solid HB, but white top and white stripes (and maybe white wheels!) rocks !!!

 

Another vote for the white top.

 

I hardly think blue and black is dull. Stealthy, and mean looking sure... But Dull?! Heck no!

Exactly!! I don't do mean or stealth. But if I did, HB/B would be a major contender, no question. I do traditional/cheeky, so HB/W is my natural choice. The two are very different, so take a look at the vibe/soul you want impart to your MINI and go with the appropriate combination. It's not simply a matter of what looks good...both do. It's a matter of swagger. Seems so simple, right?:impatient

i prefer the HB/W combo and just ordered an '06 MC with that combination. Will be a two MINI family sometime in March/April.

OK, your ride looks great

But the white border on the black stripes help (me).

 

I've got a DS/B.... black seemed more appropriate on the DS, plus I have a sunroof & I thought a uniform-colored roof would look better. But for HB (sunroof or no sunroof), I'd say HB/W + stripes!

 

I've got a HB/W with the rare no stripe on the bonnet package. I agree with the thought that the HB/W is more of a nod to the classic Mini. I've seen a couple of HB/B cars & to me they look nice, but that color combo just doesn't pop like the HB/W. Tough choice you have to make.

But... other than that, I agree with docjohnboy's principle...

With a sunroof, HB/B
Without a sunroof, HB/W

HB/W will be easier and better to put a roof graphic on.

 

We have the HB/B and love it , I think it looks much sharper, I wouldn't do a white top without doing stripes. I have some pics in my gallery if you want to see them.
