HB/B much better than HB/W, makes the car so much more sporty..

 

I agree with Edge, the sunroof makes a difference. I went with the sunroof and black. And I agree with Hugh, the white border on the black bonnet stripes looks funky to me.

 

I usually prefer the white roof on any color....but, this picture makes it about 50/50 for me. They both look great.

 

Looks great with the silver headliner. I got CooperFlags silver stripes (edged in black) and the combo is nice.

Silver shows less dirt than either white or black, IMHO. But, of course, your car will never be dirty, right?

 

Having gone through this very decision I can't help but respond to this..

I'm another one who switched from HB/B to HB/W and am so glad as I love the contrast and how the roof pops. It just looks so "mini" and stands out among other cars and amist traffic/backgrounds - love it Initially I had the bias again the sunroof and the white top but after observing the combo out and about I came to realize that the white top still has the positive qualities and the dark roof in it doesn't detract IMHO - just looks like the old dark canvas roof might, in any case its not something you pay attention to, the eye is drawn to the mini shape of the bright white lid bobbing along - you can tell its a Mini from far far away even if you can't see the rest of the car
