How long is the wait in bay area, ca for MCS?
Does anyone place an order in East Bay Mini in pleasanton recently?
How long is the wait time there for MCS? In Mt View,
with $2500 mark up, I can get the car in June.

I didn't and I kinda doubted the delivery schedule, too. Salesman will say almost anything to make a sale and once they have your deposit they've (usually) got you.
However, maybe the delivery info is right, or nearly right. Might be worth your while to check with the dealership and see what delivery date you are "offered" in a more serious dicussion. My exchange with the salesman was pretty casual and my experience is that the info in these cases is tailored to bring you in.
Be forewarned: When I visit the dealership and look over its stock of MINIs, I see almost every window sticker with a $2600+ additional dealer markup amount so even if you order a car the dealership might insist on something over/above "sticker". 'course, you don't have to pay it, but you might not be able to buy a car there.
Sincerely,
RockC.

Call each and every dealer in your area in order...
Mini of Mt View is near Los Gatos and Los Altos and the like. Their mark up drove me away (ended up at Mini of Murray outside of Salt Lake City). And since they keep getting people who have no problem with the mark-up and wait, they keep getting it from customers.
One of the bay area dealers would sell off the lot, but no factory orders, but that was in 02 when I bought. Sorry I don't have more accurate and recent news.
Start with a table of waits, mark-ups and the like. Some have cars on the lot, and you may get lucky and get just what you want with no wait!
Good luck.

I too bought from MINI of the Hamptons. Great service, MSRP + $500 for delivery here to the Golden State. Wait time was months less than Mtn. View - I ordered Jan. 17 and it was in production by Feb. 8 of '05. Mike Dito was my MA - very friendly, helpful and responsive.
Something to keep in mind if you do buy out-of-state is that the boat trip from England to the east coast is waaaaaaaay shorter than the boat trip to the west coast. So cars ordered from an east coast dealer, even with the week or two for cross-country transit, can be delivered sooner than west coasters. Just something to think about if you're really in a hurry.

I bought my Mini from Mini of Mnt. View, CA. Ordered just before Thanksgiving, it got built Dec. 6th, 05, and shipped out on the Jan. 4th, 06. Took delivery on Jan. 31st, 06 after several shipping delays. So for me it was a little over two months. Don't know what it is now, but the last time I was at Mini of Mnt. View they "seemed" to have a bunch of Minis unspoken for. And the $2500+ is in full force! >:-(
