Ok serious iPod issue! HELP!

Ok so I installed the factory Ipod adapter kit per the instructions that were available on motoringfile and NAM, and foudn it to work awesome. However this has just started happening. When I am listening to music on the Ipod it works great however after time maybe 15-20min it all of sudden shuts off and the radio says "No Magazine", when you look at the Ipod it seems like it gets a signal disconnecting it then reconnecting it. Anyone know how to solve this issue or what it might be. It is super annoying to not have it work flawlessly. SOrry if thsi has already been asked before. Any help is great. Thanks

I can only guess, so here goes...

Your problem sounds like a bad connection somewhere in the chain. When I installed mine, the multi-pin plugs that went into the "silver-box-thingy" didn't inspire confidence.

I know it's a pain, but you might try pulling the head unit and checking the conections. While the head unit is out, make sure that the white iPod wire is not getting pinched by the head unit or the side of the glovebox.

Again, this is just my guess. Any other cause is probably a defect in the iPod connector.

Maybe somebody else has another idea. Sorry I can't be more help.

I'd try doing the same thing, pull it apart and confirm the connections. I thought somewhere I read the same issues where happening with the AUX connector... I'll search around and see if I can find anything on this...

AUX port disappearing too!

I have the exact same problem you described. iPOD working just fine with the AUX port then randomly the AUX option just disappears from the radio. Only options are radio or CD. If I unplug the iPOD audio cable and plug it right back in the radio will usually restore AUX as an option.

Please help... VERY annyoing!

The Aux port issue could also be do to a ground loop fooling the head unit into think that nothing is connected (to the back of the head unit) and may require a ground loop/noise isolator (GLI). Though I have never heard of this happening with an iPod adapter.
