Keith's Run, Mt. Hamilton photos

Hey All,

Great run today. We are blessed with great weather, great roads and most important, great cars. It was a treat meeting you. I joined at Livermore and dropped out after Hamilton. (I have a red cooper with roof rack).

We shall do it again. Although this one is going to be tough to beat!!

If anyone needs 7 megapixel files for printing, just email me with the file name and I'll email it over. fcebedo@yahoo.com

regards,
francois

Ok who's this in the photo? Names please. MC2 Magazine wants to know since you will be in the mag.

I know I met you but my memory is getting weaker with age.

My humorous story from the run

First off let me say I had a great time as always, and it was nice to meet people from MOASF and REME. That being said on to the story.

Since our stay at the top of Mt. Hamilton had been cut short by the very nice police officer (who could've had a blast writing fix it tickets I reckon), I wasn't able to have a snack like I had planned while enjoying the views. So down the hill we go, I'm in the front pack being led by Larry and I decide.. what the heck I'll just open this bag of snacks and munch on the way down. The snacks in question was a bag of Snyders of Hanover Cheese pretzel sandwiches. Well at some point said bag had gotten warm and the cheese had melted, so here I am.. going down Mt. Hamilton at a 'spirited' pace with a hand covered in slick orange cheese, all the while trying to wipe that orange concoction off my hand onto something that wasn't part of the car, and avoid the steering wheel at all costs. It made for a couple of exciting moments I have to admit, nothing dangerous mind you, just a bit more exciting than I was anticipating. By the time we had gotten to the pub, the cheese I had wiped all over my shirt had dried and I was able to shake most of it off to hide my cheese issue

Now that's funny!!!

I was snacking too on my drive down. I was getting a little dizzy on the drive from hunger. Made a mess but nothing like your scene.

I was also snack challenged!!!

This was my first run. I was too excited to eat breakfast prior to leaving home at 7:30 to meet up with folks in Concord. So....I darted into the store at the meet-up location and purchased some snacks to eat on the road (bananas, juice, sealed bags of trail mix). At no point during the run was I able to eat. I was actually dizzy when we got to the observatory. I pulled into my parking space (head first, yes that was me) thinking now I can eat and chill a while before heading back down. I was not happy when we got booted out!!! I at least opened up everything and layed it on the passenger seat (since I didn't have a sidekick), so I could attempt to eat on some of the less challengine passages.

I had a good time and learned a lot.

I had a great time at my first run and am now very excited to do more. I am even thinking about AMVIV next month. Anyone from norcal going to 'run' down?
I have a few great shots from the run (and thank goodness the officer did not wright any 'fix it' tickets, as I have no front plate)

I am no Francois - I was so busy driving and checking everything out, that it left me very little time for pictures. But my friends and I had the best time... Here are the pictures that I could take:

They were trolling for donuts. When we won't give them any, they kicked us off the mountain.

RBender,

If you have someone with you, keep the front plate under the floor mat. If you see anything with red lights on top, pull the plate out and place it on the dash. The law says it has to be visable, not more than 60 above the ground, and fastened so that it won't wave/wobble. This covers most of your problem.

If you want to mount your plate Howard Canfield has a great little setup.

Otherwise fasten your front plate to the passenger side shade, and flip it down as necessary.

Hello Yumhaggis, We spoke briefly and I got some shots of your car. Yours was one of my favorite cars of the the day. Highly modified yet very clean! Nice family logo too!!

Thank you for not sporting a kilt and sharing some haggis.

It was about keeping the fire lanes open otherwise he had no problem with us. He told me "next year call ahead and we will close the gate so when you arrive you can have the whole lot".
