Mobile Entertainment System

I purchased the 1/2 Mini Motion MINI on Ebay and plan on coverting it into a trailer with a mobile entertainment system inside with LCD monitors, speakers, amps, gaming consoles, ect. Can anyone direct me to information that might get me started in the right direction?

If I can get all this done in time I plan on having this system at the Dragon. Maybe we can have a little fun when we aren't ragging the twisties.

Very COOL! I want to see pics ...

Can't help much with your question though, sorry. I guess Crutchfield can offer you lots of products, and MikeyTheMINI from NewMINIstuff is an expert in this sort of thing but based in England might make it more difficult for you.

Otherwise you could just search for "SEMA" pics / info / etc - that should turn up lots of interesting web pages.

You seem to have some extra money burning a hole in your pocket? I can help you with that.

If you are serious, and have the money to do something like this, why not take a class to "do it right."

http://www.directed.com/ here in CA makes or distributes many products and has a few "how-to's" online. They also have a school http://www.directedsnakepit.com/ I would recommend an in-depth school for the type of installation project you are planning.

Minitor, you are funny, man. I have been in this money pit for some time now. Been thru 5 MINIS. Soon to be down to 1 1/2.

hollis3, the first site appears to be great. As for the school thing, I only want to do one of these 1/2 MINIS. I'll pay someone else for their ideas and know-how. It's the getting started thing that seems hard to do.

Thanks for the tips, guys.

I'm sorry for not understanding what you are implying. If you might be able to help me with my "little" project I'm all ears. Feel free to PM or email me at peautry@msn.com.

Thanks for any assistance,

No, I am not that knowledgeable about it, though I do have a pretty impressive system. I was really just joking because I thought it strange that you bought half of a MINI (and had the extra money to do it), but i do admire your creativity. If you are looking at having it done, I would ask around your area. High end car dealers or even other car audio places should know of a place that could get you started. Good luck.

Call, I just had a random thought. What you need is a sponsor. Your idea is just outrageous enough where you might find a car audio shop who may want to help you out with it. If you try this make sure to tell them about the Dragon too. Doesnt hurt to try and they may give you a great deal or hook you up with free stuff or labor. There would be one downside though, you'd have to put a big ugly sticker with their name one it on the audio trailer.

Minitor, that sounds worthy of at least persuing. Never hurts to ask or check it out. Thanks. I knew if we got our heads together ideas would start to pop out. It's all about options...options...options.

To tell you the truth it’s all trial by error. I actually no idea how to do it, so I just looked at a few pictures and went from there. I defently would not make the same mistakes if I did it again

nocivic,
Very nice. I'm just north of Atlanta. I'll post pix in a few days. The 1/2 MINI was shipped today from NY and I should have it in a few days. I already have assembled a team to work on this project but am open to suggestions. Some design work has started but really can't do much until we actually see the critter. March and April look very full:impatient :impatient :impatient

Looks like two projects at the same time. Going to strip-out the interior of the cabrio, dump the present sound system and start all over with the center piece...Pioneer AVIC-N2...
