M7 scoop in chrome, am I the only one?

Am I the only one who wants the M7 scoop in chrome? Probably. Has anyone else done this? I want something bigger with more flow, but if I'm gonna pay the $$$ it better have bling.

If anyone has a pic of this, please post. And yes, chrome haters, flame on.

If you want full chrome, it can be done. Order it in gloss black, and it can be painted chrome. We might be able to hook that up. I'll check into it and let you know.

I got an OEM scoop from the MINI parts department and had it chromed. Is the M7 scoop plastic like the MINI scoop? If so, it is harder to find someone who can chromecoat it. I went to a place in Southern California that specialized in small motorcycle parts and they charged me $77 for the chrome coating on the scoop and a fuel door I sent them. That price included shipping the items back to me.

Care to post the contact information of the company that chromed your scoop? Inquiring minds want to know. Also how satisfied are you with their work.

Just to let you guys know. The OEM Chrome scoop is available in the 06 accessory catalog. Your local MINI dealership should have some and if not they can always special order it, Its around $150.

Yes, company info would be great. I would be much more tempted to get the M7 if I could chrome it.

The company website is http://www.chromeplating.com/. They are located in Santa Ana, California. Go to the pages under Plastic Plating. I was very satisfied with the scoop. The fuel door had some imperfections (bumps of chrome) but they seem to be smoothing out with waxing and detailing the car.

Steve's scoop looks REALLY good if you're into chrome.

I'm not fond of the chrome, and wouldn't get it unless I was going for a 2 or 3 tone theme, with chrome being one of the theme's colors... I'd likely also have to get chrome wheels & bonnet/boot stripes then.

If not going with a chrome theme, I don't think it would 'bling' properly, especially with the Orciari kit. Just my 2 cents.

I love how the chrome works with the pure silver. I wouldnt have it if it were a different color. Adds a little bling but sort of matches the silver at the same time. I have chrome mirror caps, washer caps, polen bezels, boot handle, license plate frames, exhaust tips, chrome dash, chrome floor mats, shift ****, false floor, interior trim, and of course the factory chrome accents (beltline, headlight rings, side grills, handles, etc). I think that I do have a bit of a chrome theme going on, and like the contrast of the Oricari and the chrome. Makes me think of Euro bling. I'm sure I would have huge chrome rims if it hadnt of came with the Falkens on it already. Yes, I know I am crazy and the chrome haters will go mad, but as you can see I like to be a bit different, thats why I have a MINI.

I wish that there were more scoop options. I would like something just a little more squared out than the M7 (not totally sqare though), to match the Orciari a bit more.
