02-04 aftermarket taillights in 06

Found a set of aftermarket taillights I like but acc to vendor they only are available for 2002-2004 models. What difference(s) are there between 2002-2004 and 2006 models? Wanted to ask before risking it. Thanks

Super easy install. notsoredandwhite cooper has an install guide on his website which was super easy to follow.

You will need to get 04 bulb sockets (from MINI $10 for the set). The only thing wrong in the tutorial, is it took about 20 min. total.

These are 02-04 taillights from ebay.

What about the reverse light? 02-04 didn't have it integrated in with the tail lights.

I have reverse lights in my taillights. The center light (which is now white) is on when I reverse. I know I have some super bright reverse lights now and super bright rear turn signals.

Are you sure its the center light? It should be the top light, the old fog light, that is your reverse light. The center should still be a turn signal.

I could be wrong, it could be the top light - It is cold outside, so I am not going to check!

I've been dying to change out my taillights, to continue my all black/white/silver theme on El Kabong. Could someone tell me if either of these lights is better than the other, or are they the same brand just not noted?

Thanks, and thanks for the how to link, I'm thinking I may just try this myself!

I would be wary of buying from anyone on ebay with a negative feedback such as theirs. One has had 27 in the last month with 229 in the last 6 months. The other has had 34 in the last month with 162 in the last 6.

Caution called for here?

I bought those exact lights from 'powerimport' (the second option) No problems, pretty fast shipping, well packed. I took the chance buying from someone with some negative feedback and it worked out with my purchase. No complaints with my purchase.

BOCron - I am doing the same thing, I am trying to get rid of as much red as possible. Clear third brake light is next for me, and I'll probably do the clear fog light assembly too. (with stealth bulbs)

Like mine I only have the red reflectors to keep it legal. I'm thinking about tinting them to hide them a bit.

Pir8 97 - yes!!! I do want to change out the side light/reflector unit with clear ones like you did too. I think that looks great on a black car! I have some 1/2" x 4" small rectangles on the back bumper (plastic part) in an attempt to be legal.
