Toronto to Kitchener

All,

Im traveling to Waterloo next week for biz. It's my first time into Toronto.
Any tips from the airport to Kitchener in terms of express ways, tolls that
i would need, etc.?

Thank you!

From Toronto Airport just head south on 27 to hwy 401 ( 5 miles max with lots of signage) and take 401 west all the way to Kitchener/ Waterloo (about an hour). No tolls, no pain (other than not being able to drive your Mini!)

thanks, Big Daddy!

Im taking a rental car from Hertz/Avis. Are the rental cars places
south of the airport on Dixie Rd? (not Dixon Rd which is NW)

Im looking at mapquest. hertz's home page doesn't list the
location for the airport...

Sorry, I'm not sure. I always drive to Pearson. FYI, KW is the original home of my Mini. Tip a Molson or two for me and Mo.

um.. a few more newb questions from a rural chicagoan... if you would.

I can use US currency in Canada, correct? the last time i was in Canada was like 15 years ago so can't remember.

snow covered roads.... do you use road salt out there too? Just wondering
how long it might take from Kitchener back to the airport if it snowed.
my meeting ends at 2pm and have a flight out at 5:30pm... if it's dry,
Im sure i will have no problems, but if it snowed... hummm...
