I know it may be a longshot, but does anyone want to sell a MTH cable, or any extentions (I need to go about 50 feet to my PC)? $70 for a cable seems pretty ridiculous.

 

do like i did, i got an electrical extention cable and took my computer outside just for the install..

Besides some computer cables will not reach that far without incredible signal loss.

I have a Serial MTH cable I am willing to part with.

 

Buy a shuttle PC, and install it in your Mini. :D

 

If you saw where I parked you and that fact that it hasnt stopped raining here in seattle for a near record breaking amount of time, you'd understand why I cant move my whole computer out there. Plus I'm lazy. And the point of this thread was to save money, not to buy a shuttle PC, although that would be very snazzy and maybe one day.

I think u can go 300ft with a serial cable without an amplifier? I need to look in my controls book again. But you should be fine USB is different I know
