KRUT Arriving In Sydney
And would love to meetup with some fellow MINI mates in Sydney. I am staying in CBD Feb 3-11. I've been a few times before but haven't met any MINImates yet. I'm going to try and snag some DC Metro MINI Window clings from our club VPs, maybe we could do a cling(on)swap?
Cheers!

Can I suggest posting a thread on MINI2 - Australian Forum as only a relatively small number of Sydney-siders participate on NAM. In the forum, you will see a Pirates Thread, which is the week get together of NSW MINI owners.
Cheers
Chris
Did someone say clings
I've gotta get me one as well!
I also live about 2.5 hrs from Sydney, so not much good for a Sydney Airport pick up
but if I can help to organise a Pirates (NSW MINI owners) meet up, I'll be there with bells on (so as to speak).

OK I'm going to attempt to get some organising done. The Pirates (NSW MINI owners) normally catch up each Sunday morning at Pie In The Sky - PITS (our secret base) for coffees, pies and banter before going on a drive or heading our seperate ways. Now as I see it you have one Sunday available which would be the 5th of Feb. I could see if I could get you collected and bourght up to PITS where you could co-pilot on a run to some exotic Australian locale!!
Leave it with me I will get to work.

Oooooo... What US Mini parts would the Aussies like, and what can you get in Aussie land that you can't get over here?
And FYI for the Aussies, if Krut is older than you, the proper title to address him by is "Dirty Uncle Krutches (or Krutty)".

do you think you could bring one of the new M7 scoops (MSFITOY's) with you?? What's an aftermarket parts place close to DC? I know sterling mini has some stuff....

As far as I have been able to determine, most of the aftermarket stuff available in the US at the various NAM sponsors (and others) is either not obtainable or insanely expensive in Aus. In keeping with most stuff on the market in both places. :(
I spoke briefly with Eric at Helix13 in Philadelphia - he does a fair amount of business with Australia - the difficulty is of course handling of money as 10 percent of the business from overseas is fraudulant. That said - Helix is an awesome tuner and any of you aussie mates would be well served by the stuff they sell.
Its not raining here.i live about 30 minutes from pits and it was 32
degrees celcius here today.According to the trusty weather man its
supposed to hit 35 tomorrow.Good old aussie summer.
