Interior/Exterior Any pics of tow-hook license plate mounts?
Any pics of tow-hook license plate mounts?
I searched but couldnt find any. I was thinking of using an aluminum angle and clamping it down on the hook when sitting horizontal, and then screwing to the bottom of the plate. I want it to look clean though. Does anyone have any great ideas or pics?
Oh i see what you mean... then why don't you try using some heavy duty double-sided tape and mount it in-between the upper and lower grills on the orciari? I have my europlate mounted like that, doesn't fly off at high speeds
. And doesn't block airflow.. just a thought.. Good Luck though

Oh...Tuls.
Its amazing how long it can take to rig up a mount to attach to the tow hook, but I'm finally done. I'll post some pics next week. Total cost = less than $10 (using existing license plate frame), and it looks good.
yup, pics and a how to
we've been wanting to do the tow hook think for some time but haven't put a plate on yet
someone in the sf bay area did this a long time ago, i think he had a BRG - can't remember his name but i saw it on NAM

Here we go. I used an aluminum angle and some various bolts. Just had to cut the angle for length, and then cut a strip for the bottom and bent it. Then drilled holes for the bolts to clamp it down, and to bolt the angle to the license plate frame. Then I used a thin washer to make the tow hook horizontal instead of vertical:

. Assuming its mesh-style and has holes to loop the zip-tie through.
