weird heart beat noise

i'm 100% sure it's not my heart beat from the excitement, but rather a weird noise when i put my car in neutral and off the clutch. i get it once in awhile, very un-predictable, i warm my car every cold start. also my rev meter bounce around with the noise, like in rythm.

anyone has any idea of that noise? is it coming from the SC perhaps?
any help appreciated ! thx, jer

In the MCS it is common to hear to throw out bearing when you release the clutch. Not always but often times.

Nature of the beast. Trust me, I have owned 2 MCS.

True, but the tach doesn't bounce around in time with the throw-out bearing noise!? At least not for me.

Also, the t-o bearing noise is a fairly fast tapping sound (like a tractor!)...a bit too fast for a heart-beat (unless you're really tweaked!!)

well, in my experience with supercharging, most of the cars with superchargers have that "pulse" while at idle. i'm not sure what causes it, but listen to a hot rod next time your at a car show, they all pulse like that.

I havent seen that in my car yet, but, i never really let me car sit at an idle for long
