The MINI is a two seater!!!

The big story in NYC is the looming transit strike.

I was listening to the news on the radio about the city mandating car pool rules should all the transit workers walk off the job. The announcer was interviewing a city official about the fine details of the restriction. It basically boils down to a minimum of 4 people per car if you wanna drive into Manhattan during peak hours. During the interview, the announcer asked the official, what if you have a two seater like the MINI Cooper? Huh???

I don't tend to get annoyed with things like this, because that can happen with anything...The worst thing is when people degrade the mini and they don't even know what theyre talkin about

wel, the back seats are pretty pointless, they are just neat looking parcel holders

I wouldn't try that "two-seater" theory out in the carpool lane...

My daughter's friends loving riding in the backseat...they say they are very comfortable...a pain to get out of course...but they love riding in Spike all the same!

I've fit 5 in the MINI. It wasn't safe or comfortable, but it was necessary.

Some friends and I were heading to the bar and it was my turn to be the DD, one guy brought another friend, so we had 5 instead of 4 and he didn't consult me about the little bump in the center in the back. So one guy had to ride the bump.

We are all normal sized college students.

4 though is not that bad, I've had 4 a number of times.

i've had 85+170~+170~+200~lbs in my car before. I could DEFINITELY tell the difference with all the weight (since i'm used it it just being my puny little body) But we all fit fine.

PLUS My Size Barbie on the bump. I like having my rear seat, thank you. I was stuck in a real two seater for 9 months, i missed having passeners

Yeah I've heard about the posible transit strike. Good luck with that. Luckily I commute away from the city.
My wife and I aren't ever having kids, , so we knew the lack of rear seating space wasn't an issue... We did, however, fit our seven year old niece back there with no problem - it's basically the same size as a child seat, lol. J/K

I'm 6' 1" so driving with someone in the back seat behind me would put a definite dent in my comfort level - BUT it could be done.
