Mini factory skid plate= Snow Plow

Quick Shot Out from the Midwest! I'm sure you've all either lived through or heard about the Blizzard of O'5 that ripped its way from the midwest to the north east. Here in Chicago we got around 4" of beautiful, horrible snow.

This snow helped me find a new role for my brand new '06... that of a SNOW PLOW! My back alley was not plowed (as they never are in chicago) and as I attempted to drive down my alley this morning, the part of the skid plate that hangs down and below the bottom bumper left a perfectly level plowed area behind my mini....

It made me wonder how all the folks who lower thier Mini get by in the winter....

The biggest tradegy of the blizzard was the fact that I wasnt able to get my '76 2002 off the street before it got covered in all the snow, and then plowed into its spot! I was waiting for a piece for my carb before i could move it.... It'll be fun digging it out this weekend!

Yeah, I wouldn't mind lowering the car slightly for better performance, but with snow 5-6 months of the year here I'd rather look "normal" rather than getting stuck on an unplowed side street or something.

makes me wonder how some of the local MINI drivers in my city gets by with their lowered MINI

Our MINIs do tend to plow through the snow, but they do it pretty darn good

Simple. We just drive! It's just snow, it'll melt. I just hate scraping when pulling out of a ramped driveway.

I'm digging it out on monday and taking it to its climate controlled winter storage spot... I feel horrible for doing that to her... I'll take a pic tomorow of how deep she is in the snow so you can all yell at me!

Some of us like to motor in the snow, sure I could drive my truck, but it would get stuck, slide around, and does not have heated seats

Today, light snow 5F
On the beach

I'm not sure how these are, but the Teins are ride height adjustable..
Then you can raise and lower according to need.

I have heard that they have a set that you can adjust from inside the car. Not sure which ones though.

Gotta brush off snow again this morning, we get Lake Effect snow around here, so we can get plastered pretty bad, not as bad as up near Cleveland though.
