Cold Weather Package

Some of you might remember that I had an issue with the Cold Weather Package missing from my car when I took ownership of my MINI. It was ordered with it, but never made on the order at the MINI plant. Well, I finally got an answer back from BMW in Munich and they are planning on installing the kit to bring my car up to what was ordered. WOOHOO!!!

Anyway, I wanted to post and let you guys know that this is taking place. I am also trying to get them to cover the alarm install as I think they should offer me a little something for the inconvenience they have caused. We'll see how that goes.

What a good news .. wish you can have that done sooner. Over here, we are in single digit these days . I can't live without the CWP, hope it isn't that bad in your place.

To think I almost ordered the car without it... It was 5 degrees F this morning here in Northern Ohio. I too hope you get to enjoy it before the spring gets to you...

I had ordered my '02 MINI with xenons and it arrived without them. They were plainly on the order, but were not installed. I was extremely upset. I was told that they were not retrofittable, period. I didn't PAY for the xenons, but I was very irked about not getting the order filled correctly and having no way to get them. I got a hat, keychain, and umbrella for my frustration. While it didn't resolve the issue, the swag got me past the peak of my frustration and I learned to love Molly without the xenons! Glad to hear they are resolving your issue instead of merely placating you.

I was just upset that it took them that long to actually say yes, that they would install it. Call me crazy, but I already paid for it, so YES, you are going to install it. I think the bottom line was when I told my MA that I would be getting a lawyer in January if they did not get resolution on this before then. Next day I got the e-mail... Go figure.

Well, I gave them a choice. Fix it or they get to buy the car back. Not giving me I ordered was out of the question and I was going to get what I wanted and not settle. Glad that you love your baby. It would have been hard if I had to give mine back.... I'm glad that BMW is stepping up to the plate.

Well, it is with great fondness that I remember her. Alas, I sold her for Mel, my '05 MCS!
