Well, the dreaded stress crack has struck my new MCS front windshield. Hopefully there won't be an issue with warranty replacement but will report back to all on this experience. As fyi, crack started on top of windshield by rearview mirror. Car only has 750 miles on it and is garaged.

Was also thinking would it make sense to see if they could install the new rain sensor/auto dim mirror upgrade at the same time the windshield is replaced.

Does anyone know if the part is available as a dealer ad on or perhaps have done this already. Would be interested in costs, part numbers if anyone has them.

Otherwise will forge ahead and pose this one to the dealer.

 

You would have to see about getting the harness installed in the car for the mirror and rain sensor, I know the whipper switch is different to allow for the automatic setting
