Where are we meeting for the run and what time. Where are we going for the party? There's nothing up on the NorCal site yet.

We will meet at East Bay Mini for Toys for Tots and then have a run to our Holiday Party destination. The info will be posted Monday afternoon.

im only 19..does that cause a problem with going to the pub?

 

Not a problem. Think of it as a restaurant.

 

Hi:
During the run I ran over "something" that damaged my right wheels and caused my front tire to become flat. I was in a red MCS that bailed out of the run on north 680 on the way to the pub. Does anyone who was behind me see what I hit?

Didn't see a thing Peter, but I was pretty far behind you. Sorry I didn't stop but by the time I saw you it was to late. Did you manage to get towed OK? And how is your car?

 

I pulled into a self-service station and checked the tires to find deep gouges on both right wheels. Deep enough to cause the front tire to slowly become flat. I was able to re-inflate it and was able to get to Dublin before the low tire pressure light relit. I put more air into the tire and was able to continue home on the run-flat (at about 25 mph). It looks like I will be buying two new wheels and tires. As l did not find any body damage (fenders, hood, doors, etc.), I can only guess I hit a rock, curb, or pot-hole I did not see in a turn.

Sorry to hear about the damage to your Mini. Be sure to check the strut for damage as well. Good thing you had run flats to get you home. Hope your back on the road in no time.
