Winter Dragon Run

Killboy's Winter Gap Run - December 17-18, 2005!

I've always thought it was kind of odd that all of the car groups were planning events during the middle of the season, when traffic is at it's peak. Let's have some fun during the off-season, when we can have the whole road to ourselves. Sure it's a little harder to get the tires warm, but we get the road to ourselves!

Nothing special planned...no trophies or give-aways, just driving with other like-minded drivers, of ALL CAR TYPES. So get the word out on your forums, and let's have a little fun in the cages. I'll keep you updated on any further developments.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think that says it all... you can check out killboy.com for info reguarding it. I know I will be down there!

-Josh

It would be tempting to leave the MINI at home and take the quattro Audi down there

I rode the Dragon the Friday after Thanksgiving. I only saw about 20-30 cars. It was great to have the road almost to myself except I ran into a dreaded 18 wheeler who was being escorted through by motorcycles luckily or I would have met him on a blind curve . The weather was cold (about 42 degrees) but it was a sunny & beautiful day.

I will see you all there the 17th and 18th! I hope a lot of you all come for other people can see what MINIs can do. A lot of ignorant people around here say my car is slow until they follow me up the dragon . A few of my friends in a modded out RSX-S and RX-8 are coming with me too, but dont worry, they are still no match for my MINI. As many of you already know, it will be really crowded there that weekend with lots of nice cars; I personally like going up during the less crowded midweek where I can push it harder and let the MINI do what it does best.

so true but you NEVER push it on a weekend with tons of cars... you have to wait for nightfall or weekdays to really push it.

i'm still debating it. I'll figure it out by this weekend, if that's not too late. I'd like to see who all is planning on going.

I would love to go for a break-in course on the dragon some time before may, but sadly December is a hella busy time at work, and trying to get days off, especially in a row is as pleasant as pulling teeth.

Have fun though, and tell us all about it.

Well if people want to run the dragon on a weekend.... give me a PM or post somewhere whereI will see it and if I can i will gladly meet you there! I love running it...day/night/midnight its all fun...except when your picking limbs out of the road... unless your with a wonderful person.

It is really not fair that some of us can really run the Dragon easily and sleep at home. Maybe I should start a bed and breakfast service for mini folks here in Chattaboogie. :-)

Its also not fair that semi's run the dragon at night... and scare the poop out of me...anything mini and dragon related people will do...

If I lived closer... I would have a "mini garage" for the do it yourselfer... all tools needed and a dry place to do it...

ahhh dreams
