I just read a post where several people have heard of the 2003 MSRP going up by as much as 15% UUGGHHH.. I find this hard to believe because by 2003 the waiting lists should be a thing of the past. If you have info you could post on this topic please do so.

Yes. You can see my thread entitled something like "just ordered my mini, and some things you should know about 2003 models"..
My dealer advised me that the price of my MSRP would go up 5-15%.. I dont really feel that is fair, but hey, what can you do?

Word is the increase is only 3%. Let's hope it's not more.

Emailed BMW, they said they don't have any facts yet for price increases on 03 MINI Coopers. They did though tell me how they normally adjust prices though.
They said 3% is a normal increase on the car. They went on to say this only effects the car itself, that they do not increase option prices.
So that doesn't sound too bad of an increase if it does happen.

Thanks for the info. I will trust what BMW says before a dealer.

My dealer said the increase for 2003 was $145. Based on the "premiums" being added, this is essentially NO increase.

They all wear the same suits.
I believe they'll keep the prices just ahead of inflation, just like everything else

The price of the '03 MINI is only going up to cover the cost of the small changes. I was told around $125.

Yup - enough to cover the cost of the second remote key you get in 03 models...
