3rd Annual Toys for Tots - UPDATED

Plans were just finalized for our 3rd annual toy drive for Toys for Tots. Not only will M2C2 and Hendricks MINI team up to put some smiles on a lot of kids faces this holiday season, but this year we're also doing the same event with Century MINI in Greeneville, SC.

Both Hendricks and Century will have a MINIs parked in their showrooms for donations. If you're in their areas, swing by and drop an unwrapped toy off anytime. For those who are coming to the Dec. meeting at the Zentrum, we will collect any toys brought there, and deliver them to the dealers for you. If you're not in the Charlotte or Greenville area, or going to the Zentrum on the 10th, you can still participate by mailing your unwrapped toys straight to the dealerships. Here's their addresses:

Hendrick MINI......................................Century MINI
6800 E. Independence Blvd.....................2752 Laurens Rd
Charlotte, NC 28227..............................Greeneville, SC 29607
Attn: Rachel ........................................Attn: Paul

You can also try posting on here that you've got something and maybe one of our members close by can deliver them for you. I know most of the chapter VP's will be coming to the Zentrum get together. As a last resort measure you can get a hold of me and send a cash donation. I'll pick up the toys for you and add them to the collection. (Did I cover ever angle? )
The toys collected will be picked up from the dealers on Sat. Dec. 17th.

Bob

Thanks for keeping this great event going. Thanks to Smokey for getting M2C2 started with this event in 2003.

We had a great turn out last year for Toy's for Tots. Our club VP Keith and his wife Debi took some great photos of last year's event. Here is a link to their website if you would like to see some photos from last year's event.

This year Ed Keady from Hendrick MINI and his staff are putting a Chilli Red convertible with red wheels on the showroom floor to collect the toys.

Bob, thanks for covering every angle for getting the toys to Hendrick MINI. I will be glad to help in any way I can. I am in Columbia and Greenville every week for work and would be glad to transport some toys. Please just send me a PM.

Thanks
George

an early start!

Heads up y'all!

http://www.lowesmotorspeedway.com/ne...ws/498282.html

On FRIDAY, November 25th, Lowe's Motor Speedway is having a HUGE sale on 2005 merchandise. They have toys...hmmm... If you spend $50 on merchandise or race tickets, then you'll get the opportunity to drive your own car around the track 2 times!

This would be a great place to get toys for the Toys for Tots campaign AND get a bit of fast driving in... remember, go fast - turn left.

Sarah
(thanks George for the scoop on this)

Toys for Tots Red Sled at Hendrick MINI

I was at Hendrick on Friday to have some work done on MINIBLU. While there I saw the Red Sled Hendrick has set up for us to use as the Toys For Tots vehicle.

I want to thank Hendrick for making this gorgeous 2006 Convertible available for the M2C2 Toys for Tots campaign. At present there are several gifts in the MINI. Please drop by and do what you can for the Toys For Tots....

Just a reminder, you still have a week to get by the dealers to drop of your donations if you haven't already.

I took all of the toys collected at the Christmas party on Saturday to Century yesterday. I'm proud of me for not opening any of them. There were some really kewl gifts in those bags. Thank you to all who contributed.
