Headlight stopped working after PIAA install

Hey guys I installed some PIAA rally lights my brother got for me and the rally lights work just fine, the high beams work just dandy, but the regular light beam on the drivers side stopped working. I'm not sure what would cause this problem since the wire tapping thing was straightforward and the wiring harness is not damaged. Any thoughts on what may be causing this? Just throw some ideas out and i'll check it out.

Btw, the high beams with rally lights dangerously bright.

If you don't have xenon, but helogen bulb ... will it possible that bulb just burnt out during your installation due to short circuit? Not sure if you have xenon light.

When you disconnect your tap on the headlight harness what happens?

I don't have xenons, I have halogen bulbs. I haven't disconnected the tap, I'll try it and see if it works. What if it does work without the tap?

A few days ago I opened the hood to see (again) if there's any visible damage or anything causing the problem. I found nothing and when I slammed the hood shut, the headlight started to work! But then it stopped working again later that evening. I'm still not sure what to do. I'll remove the tap and see what's up.

If it started to work when you slammed the hood it sounds as though it could be a loose connection. Look inside the plugs that go in to the lights and ensure that there is not a lot of corrosion on them. If there is you will have to clean them up. I used to keep a set of needle files around just for this when I had my Jeep. Of course it could just be that the connection is loose also.

Good luck
