For what I see, it's useless outside the track. Don't you have bumps or ramps in your area?

I am in on those splitters, not C/F though, too much to risk, I am seriously digging for front splitters lately.

This would not be street friendly.

Interesting strut brace.

Thank you for mentioning the M7 Splitter in this thread, but with that I will take umbrage to your characterization of our splitter being flimsy.....

It's been sold for years, with absolutely no problems, breakage or other questionable, flimsy problems. As a matter of fact, the splitter does last longer if it gives a little at impact.

Sincerely

The red Mini #98 is Vesko's Mini out of Salt Lake. It is built to NASA USTCC (United States Tourning Car Championship) Spec's. Unlimited suspension work. Limited engine work. But his MINI S is very fast. Runs in the top 5 cars in the series.

I believe his splitter is solid aluminum. It's allowed to be 4 inch infront of the bumper and go under the car to center line of the front axels. Vesko's splitter would not last on a street as it is only, if that, one inch off the ground. In two races Buttonwillow and San Jose it was torn up during the race.

Here is my splitter as used on the USTCC #58 MINI

Here is the whole bottom of the splitter. It is attached to the bumper and comes off as one unit.

The material we used is an Aluminum Honycomb Composite

I run this car both on the track as well as on the street, I've only had to watch out for steep driveways but then I run the splitter about 4 inch off the ground on the street.

Rich, nice job on that splitter!

So, any feedback on how it is working on the track? Straightaways? Cornering?

It seems to keep the front down at high speeds and that good, but the tail end still moves around alot. That's because I running a stiff sway bar on the rear for the tight turns. I'm now designing a defuser for the rear to help stabilize the rear. After that, a wing????
