Borla MC Exhaust

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...spagenameZWD1V

Anyone have experience with this seller? So far this is the cheapest I've found so if you have any other reputable sellers let me know please. Also I have an 05 MC so I would have to get the one I linked to modified before it would fit my car.

Another place I was looking at was webmotor sports which is a bit more expensive but it would probably be a lot safer and easier to install since I think they will be straight " plug and play" with the 05 MC's

Any other vendors I should take a look at?? Please

Just installed the exhaust today, so far so good The sound was pretty much what I was expecting/wanted. Only gripe is that I have some slight rattling when it is at idle and warmed up ( will try to fix that tomorrow or something).

Heres some pics:

I was really confused for a minute, until I realized that the first picture is the "before" with the stock exhaust.

I have had a Borla for over a year now and I still love it, I have a fellow MINI club member who has a Milltek and his sounds just as good as mine both idling and driving through the gears. Ebay is ok to buy small stuff, but I would pay $50 more to get off a aftermarket website or someone like MossMini.com. A lot of the times Ebay shipping rates from sellers are just wrong (way too high)! I go to website with free shipping and for a part over $400, I would only expect free shipping! On another note - when I have to go to car shows I use silver polish to make not only the tip shine but the muffler as well. Nothing worse than going to a car show and they lean down to check out your spare tire and your muffler+tip out for cleanliness. HAHAHAHA!!!

How wierd is it that I know of three people with Velvet Red Coopers with a Borla exhaust? Of course, I still have yet to see more than two Velvet Red cars at the same time.

Is there only one Borla system for the non "S" car? or is there a street and race unit?

For the Cooper (non-S) there is only one Borla.

I had a Borla on my previous Cooper and I really liked it, but I'm looking for something different for my '05 - possibly the Milltek. The main reason is that the Borla was just slightly too loud at highway speeds. Fine with me, but sometimes I have passengers. The sound was great, though!

By the way, Turner installed my Borla and my B&M short shift kit, and my experiences there were top notch.

Any more detail you can go into about the comparative sound of the two exhausts? Thanks!
