Painting RV-Fs black?????

I am thinking very seriously of painting my wheels black. We have a very good wheel shop in Atlanta that does repair on all the high end wheels and the job will be top quality. I think they would look really good in black and certainly unique........any comments or advice?

Here's my photoshop (before/ after) job... I think it could be cool, although i do like the look of a black wheel with a polished lip.

Go for it, get them painted black. I love the look of black wheels, they make the car look so much meaner . I just gave my volk te-37s to a powder coating shop last night. They were white before but when I get them back they are going to be a low gloss black. I'd say get them black, it's more unique and your car is bound to get more looks.

I would say no to black. Paintind them would be cool....but to me black rims on a DS/B car is a bit over done in the MINI community. Not very unique...

Maybe a brighter silver would work a bit better?

Do PhotoShop and leave the rims bright (silver) and see what you get.

Go for it. I think they'll look great. Any reason why you're painting rather than powdercoating?

Please, "don't touch them" !! If you want black wheels get a Rays forged wheel in black.

Would you repaint your Mini ?? Then please do not repaint your BBS wheels

I have got to love black. If you do then go for it but powder coat only.

The photoshop pix are very nice.

That looks very nice

I think the "shade" of black would make a big difference.......high gloss to flat .... any ideas there?

Why didn't you or don't you just buy the wheel in its alternative color, Diamond Black? It's not jet black by any means, but dark and a stock, high quality metallic finish. I can only imagine it would look great with your car. As for black wheels, they look good on certain vehicles, but I'm not sure about the MINI. Now that I live in Germany, black wheels make you think of winter wheels as so many people use black steel wheels as their winter wheels. I personnally think a color matched wheel would look great on the MINI, especially dark silver. I've been debating color matching my wheels hyper blue.
