I emailed VLK about moving the time back 1 hour.

We need to get the deposit in to VLK. They require 50% upfront. We were thinking everyone could call VLK and put in on their credit card / debit card or stop in and make the payment. I have not OK'd this yet with VLK. The other alternative would be for everyone to send me there deposit and I could go ahead and put up the deposit . I will contact Jody next week. Remember your deposiut will be $22.50 and the total cost $55

 

Just a question. Is the deposit refundable if by some chance we don't make the minimum number requirement?

 

We can commit to the minimum # which is 8. And then we pay the deposit 1/2 of 55 dollars X 8. This is not refundable and futhermore, if only dseven show up they have to cover the add'l money for the 8th person. This is because VLK has staffed the event based on 8.

My bad news is I can no longer make it. Still willing top help out but defenitely do not want to get burned. VLK wants to take 1 payment and this week is preferable.

 

I'm no longer putting myself on the definite list for this.

 

IMPORTANT! We need your deposit of $22.50 for this event no later than Wed. Nov. 9th!!

To make your deposit by credit card you'll need to call me at my store. The number is 910-864-9490 (11am and 8pm M-S, or 1 to 6 on Sun). I, or my co-worker Stephanie, will take your card info and hold it until the 9th. If we have deposits from 8 or more people on the 9th, your card will be processed for the amount of $22.50 and our collected deposit money will be sent on to VLK. If, by some chance, we don't have at least 8 people sign up, the card info will just be destroyed and the event will be cancelled.
If you act quickly, you can also mail the deposit in the form of a check or money order made out to "Musik Hut". This probably needs to be done no later than this coming Saturday. The address here is:

Great! After we got things straight earlier today, I sent out pm's to everyone on the sign up list. Plus, Sarah's going to be mailing the Charlotte group, and if I got it in on time, there should be a mention in the upcoming newsletter.

I just wanted to put in a heads up here that I'll be out of town tomorrow (Sat). Stephanie, my co-worker, will be able to take your deposit info though, so don't put off calling. We need 6 more to make this work.

 

As of today, we've still only had 2 people put up deposits. I'm going to go ahead and contact VLK to give up our spot on the 20th, since I don't think we'll have 6 people step up before tomorrow.
