someone lsat nigh/very early this morning vandalized my MSC. they scribe F**U on my doors and scribed cuts on my windshield and my windshield. i'm very pissed but also wonder who in their right mind world do this. the cops asked if thi should have been a random thing? was it an ex girlfriend or someone's ex that you might have pissed off? or did you have bad blood with anyone...to my knowledge...except for the random act...i have no clue.

this job looks like it was done between 1am to 5:20am....on school street near nuuanu shopping mall. if anyone passed by and saw anything, please pm me...

What will insurance do for it???

 

Vandals are such a**holes. It's usually a jealous young person who, rather than working, wants to blame his lack of success on everyone else. I think Singapore has the right treatment for people like that. Here, they get slapped on the wrist. It will be fixed, but it's very unpleasant.

my sister said that there is another MCS DS/WT with same color and markings as mine who just cuts people off (including her), so she wonders if this was a mistaken identity.... damn it! are we having some bad eggs in the collective?

any which way, my total to replace everything, and repaint will cost me about 3k. YIKES...i am removing my stripes so that it will not look like the other mini....i really hate this...but yes, it's unpleasent but it will be fixed.

Have you heard from your insurance company yet?

 

yes, i have geico and they were real friendly and squeezed me in a time slot that i was able to drive my car for an estimate (it took about half a day between places). once done, i took it to my bodyshop who know my car and left it there for repairs. i'm going to call mini later to check with mike in parts to see when these parts will arrive.

i guess i'm just disappointed with what's around my area. i grew up here and loved this place. but as the years go by, it's getting worse.

 

sorry about your mini...hopefully the repair process will be quick and painless, at least financially covered by your insurance.

i always believe that what goes around, comes around, and those clowns who did that will one day feel someone else's wrath carried out on their car. unfortunately, the innocent get hurt in the meantime.

 

Last night my neighbor's MINI, which was parked about 100 feet from mine, was written on all over with a permanant marker. It said "F*** You" and "No one likes you because of your shiny Cooper." What is wrong with people?

just found out that the windshield is in stock! i hope the body shop will grab that before it's gone...

 

So sorry to hear about this, I know how you feel, some one pryed the emblems off of mine a week after I bought it. They scratched it up but it's all better now.

Maybe you might think of making your MINI different looking enough so that it is easy to tell you have a different MINI that is unique (not the one that cuts people off). Decals on the windows or some sort of distinct markings could help. Car cover maybe?

--Sorry to hear that about your car Louis. Was it street parked or were you in one of those alleys? Man the whole Nuuanu area has been horrible since my college days. It was really nice and community oriented for a time between the 80's and mid 90's but then it all went to hell.
