Didn't seem like there was a thread for week 42 (which I believe is next week?), so here it is!

Anyone else out there? What ETAs have you gotten from your dealers? I've been told late November... I'm hoping that's an overly conservative estimate, but who knows.

Welcome, Your MINI sounds great! I am 3 weeks behind you, week 45. You will want to check my week as it has plenty of links on tracking etc.

Let us know as your car changes status.

 

What -- my Mini is the only car that the entire plant is making in week 42??

 

Fewer than 25% of the people who are smart enough to buy a MINI are smart enough to visit NAM let alone hang out here.

I found out that my Mini is sitting at the port, and will be setting sail on the 25th with expected arrival in Halifax on Nov. 1!

The dealer told me yesterday that my Mini will be built next week -- I'm guessing they lied to me, to make me happy about it arriving earlier than expected and/or minimizing the risk that I'll get upset if it arrives later than originally planned.

 

I was told that I was week 45, I just called ASK MINI, and i'm actually week 42, and my car is mid-production now!!!

I've already lined up normal tires (Goodrich Traction T/A's) to be installed upon picking the car up.

Anyone else on the Honor? Supposed to set sail today with expected arrival Nov 1 in Halifax, Nov 3 in New York....

Edit: GAHH -- there's an asterix beside my car saying it's been waitlisted. I'm guessing that's not good...

Waiting for a Mini sure has its ups and downs...

So I'm on the Freedom due in port on Nov 4th. Such a a painstaking process :smile: I can't wait til I can pick my little guy up. I'm thinkin' I could have it as early as Nov 11th. Anyway, here are the specs:

I just called ask mini, and they said my car started production on 10.20, and they told me that was week 42. I was supposed to be in week 45, then I was moved to week 44, but now they tell me week 42. Its good news of course, but I'm wondering when I can expect the car to show up at the dealer - any guesses?

 

Just go to http://www.2wglobal.com/www/customerCentre/cargoTrackingLaunchPage.htm and enter your VIN# -- it might tell you what boat it's on etc. Then you can look up schedules elsewhere on the site and it'll tell you when the boat is expected to arrive in the U.S.

My Mini is landing tomorrow! Yay! I'm sure it'll take at least a week or two to get to me, though.... then I have to put snow tires on almost immediately, because I ordered it with performance tires & anytime from about now onwards there's a risk of snow/freezing rain/etc. over here.

 

Any news from any other week 42ers? My car arrived at the port a week ago and my dealer is saying it could be another 2 weeks... which sounds ridiculous to me, but anyway...
