2 Full weeks from UK to NY???

Talked to customer service guy on ASKMINI. He said that my car should be put on the carrier tommorrow and then it was 2 weeks to get to NY. That seems like a long time to cross the Atlantic. Is that the experience that most people have had? Two full weeks? Ouch.

It may not be a direct route. The car my gf bought has made a stop over in Canada before ariving in NY. I think it took just shy of two weeks to get into port (today).

The ocean voyage itself is closer to seven days, the rest of the time will be spent in paperwork/loading/more paperwork/discharge/more paperwork/Customs' bonded warehouse/more paperwork/securing transport to distribution center/more paperwork/pre-delivery inspection/more paperwork/transport to dealer/ more paperwork and if I haven't mentioned it already, more paperwork.

As others have noted, check the following site for your ship's transit time:

http://www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/index.jsp

Use your VIN in the Auto Cargo tracking section.

Once in NY (actually NJ), it will then spend some time (about a week or less) at the VPC, then transport to your dealership for further prep and delivery.
