Touch up paint and disrespecting a MINI
Touch up paint and disrespecting a MINI
Greetings all,
I was wondering if anyone knew where they could get some 2005 Hyperblue touch up paint. It appears that someone disrespected my MINI while it was parked and didn't even leave any contact info. It looks like the tow hitch or something ran into the bottom of SPOON and took some paint off as well as. Anyway, that black grill part was pushed in completely as well. I was able to reseat it by sliding my hand underneath the bumper and pushing it back in place. That's not really good either because for me to do that they had to have hit it hard enough to push the heat shield above the muffler in a bit.

I didn't discover this until today so SPOON could have been injured for a few days before I even realized it. Does anyone know of any place that sells 2005 Hyperblue touch up paint or maybe would know the cost of the bumper? If I have to resort to replacing the bumper then I'll probably do it myself. Anyone know how hard that would be?
Thanks for any info.

Check out http://www.autovisuals.com/ for some great touch up paint products. I got my EB pen and it works great.
Ouch! Sorry that happened, and sorry they drove off on you.
You might want to get everything checked out, similar but different damage to mine in that it looked so simple, but I had 2,199 worth of damage behind the bumper and had to get my entire radiator replaced. I hope it's nothing more that a touch up job. Good luck! Keep us posted!

If you are at Yalla Yalla tomorrow (Sunday) AM
then talk to Randy Webb (WEBB Motorsports) or Mark Ferguson (NAM). Both would know about touch up or replacement, as will Vinnie Quick, MA from Schomp. Check with him too...
See you Sunday.

Thanks for all the replies everyone.
"Classic" here is referring to the vendor/sponsor "Classic MINI" in Ohio

They offer us a nice discount on everything.

I'll add because it might not be clear, Classic is a MINI dealership and they sell OEM parts and accessories at a discount (typically about 20% depending on the item), but they are not set up for web orders with NAM pricing. To make a NAM purchase, e-mail them at bmwparts@driveclassic.com or call 440-205-6404.
