Looking for 2 used run flats for temporary use

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...605#post651605

I let my tires go too long wothout rotation sand I can;t make up my mind about what to replace them with. I am looking for a couple of used (or new) Pirellis to get me through a few months.

Anyone have some laying around the garage?

Wish I had known this about 6 weeks ago. I just put new rubber on the car and I just trashed the old ones. Something you might want to think about is the cost involved in changing the tires. The only shop here in town I've found that'll do them charged me about $40 each for the swap w/ balancing. That's a small chunk to lay out for just a couple months use.

Run Flats

What kind of wheels do you have? I have 4 run flats on the mini lights that I might part with. I just replaced with 18" and 2 tires are in pretty good shape. 14000 miles on them. Will you be at Hendricks for the meeting? If so and you are interested, I will throw the two best in the back and bring with me.

No, I am going to teh UNC NCSU game Saturday, but thanks for the offer.

I do have S Lites though.

The whole tire thing is just so hard to figure out. If someone just wants to tell me what tires to buy for 17 inch wheels that might get an occaisional track day but 99% street use, let me know.

Not just what you wanted...
but if you stick with runflats, here's 4 brand new 17" ones mounted and balanced on the R91 5-spoke convertible wheels.

You could have these 4 for less than the price of the tires alone and they're ready to bolt-on.

PS: 4 17" wheels and tires DO fit in the back seat!

They look pretty great on the car too, I think...

Oh, you'll sell those for less than the cost of 4 non-runflats? I'll send $400 your way right now.

Thanks for the offer, but I am actually looking to get away from the super high priced run-flats I think. Those are cool looking wheels though.

Double that and pick 'em up, and it could all be yours Not bad for $2000 worth of product, but hey! I understand this wasn't really what you wanted.

No worries here:smile:
