mini s w/ straight thru exhaust??

hi guys, I am in the middle of doing some custom work to my mini s while it is stripped down to the bone. I have decided to cut out my battery box in order to run my exhaust straight thru from the header back . My new muffler will go where the battery box was. Just wandering if anyone had any good or bad input on this. It just seems like a good idea to me as there will be alot less bends for the exhaust to have to travel.
thanks in advance for your replies,
Clint

I think TonyB already has this done. I know someone does, and am pretty sure it's him.

If you search for straight through exhausts, it should pull up some good info for you

TonyB does, I do also believe. But, I highly recommend you check out this thread where a number of us at TMMZ brainstormed designs and one of our team members did flow modelling. There are some very interesting findings . Good luck!
