Aero kit paint chipping

We have an aero kit on my 2005S and am having MAJOR problem with paint chips on the kit. Within 9 months we have gotten approx 200 chips on the front, and patches about 1" x 1" by each rear tire. We just picked up the Mini from being repainted, but have been told the paint must cure for 90 days before we can apply the invsishield. Seeing that this is my only car, being without a car for 90 days is not an option. Does anyone have a suggestion...or different product? I've tried talking to the dealer and to MiniUSA, but I keep getting the ....."you're a girl, you wouldn't understand" attitude. UUUGGHHH. Do I really need to wait 90 days before getting some sort of protection on my car? Can I get the clear bra installed immediately? It's been 1 week and I'm going nuts without a car.

I had Clearbra put on the front of my car two weeks after a respray. Find another installer.

You need to get a clearbra. The paintwork used in the Aero kit is non-factory and tends to chip very easily if left unprotected. Look for the best cleabra protection in the market today: "VentureShield" from VentureTape:

This is what I have in my '05 MCS but I have factory bumpers.

Mine began doing the same thing just 2000 miles after I picked it up from the dealer. I didn't hesitate anymore and had the clearbra installed. Don't have the dealer do it, you'll pay almost double over an independant installer. Check out the sponsers of this site, I believe ryan from autoclearguard can help you with the piece.

After i broke in my 2004 MCS I drove from WA to Vegas.....over 2500 miles round trip. When i got back home.......over 50 chips in the AeroKit and a chip on the bonnet near the intake. Cheap paint! But oh well.......battle scars. Not to mention the soft windshield glass.....many chips in it too.

might be the primer--

I OWN a bodyshop and we painted my aerokit here in house-with EXCELLENT HIGH QUALITY GLASURIT-however the chips are beginning to show up. this stuff comes already primered with a white fill coat-on first inspection, it looks really nicely done-however, as this thread and my own experience suggests, the paint is not adhering well to this factory primer. im certain in time i will repaint mine (not anytime soon though) so we will see what else can be done then.
