R50/53 Wagon Rumors?
Wagon Rumors?
So have there been any new rumors about MINI coming out with a wagon?
We traded in our Cooper in May for a Mazda 6 Wagon because we may have a family soon. However, I'd really like a MINI Wagon and I'm sure I could talk the old lady into getting one
.
Thanks for the info if you got it

Yes the MINI Clubman 5 door wagon is coming, but probably not until 2008-2009. It will ride in the all new R56 platform due to be introduced next year.
My wife is also looking forward to it. She currently drives a 2002 MC CVT and she loves the size and practicallity of the MINI.
No Mazdas for us.

I have yet to see anything confirmed aside from the fact that MINI is commited to expanding the line and that the next gen platform should help allow that expansion. Exactly which models will be released and when is still pretty much anybody's best guess.
As a side note: it was the realization that I don't need to worry about what "might" happen or what I "might" need that allowed me to purchase a MINI in the first place - after having multiple Subaru wagons. When something happens that forces me to consider a different vehicle, I'll deal with it. Until then I'm staying happy driving a MINI!
...if it is children (not likely for us anytime soon...), I should think 8-9 months is plenty of time to adjust the situation.

Mini2Go you bring up a good point that 8-9 months is a good amount of time to adjust.
We decided to adjust early because the mini was nearing it's warranty point (had 40k miles) and had some minor issues that we were personally tired of dealing with.
Sugar was a great car and we look forward to owning a mini in the future, weither it be a wagon or even a classic

I'll continue to hope along with you that you can get another MINI/Mini at some point in the future!
