Bridgitte Has Arrived

Congratulations to MINI Steve, as his new MCSDT has arrived.

Bridgitte is her name and she is beautiful. MINI Steve put a lot of thought and money in ordering Bridgitte just right.

Thanks for the posting George. It was great to see you on delivery day. We just returned from a run down to Pawley's Island for our anniversary (and to put 500 of the break-in miles on the car )

We had great weather for the drive down and even better coming back today.

Here's some shots of Bridgitte:

...and the obligatory 'from behind' shot...

She's very sparkly

Looks awesome! Loren did a fantastic job with your aero kit!

From the pics it's hard to tell, but did you instruct him to use a glossier paint on the rear cowl and front foglight areas? I've seen it done with flat black before, but yours looks shinier. I like it!

Thanks! Agreed... we're sure fortunate to have Loren. He does great stuff with our MINIs, both new and those that have been abused (eh JJ?)

Well there are two answers... The rear cowl uses the same paint as the rest of the Aero kit, however I think it had a larger, flat area to appear more reflective (Loren started painting this area instead of applying the supplied decal... looks WAY better ). The foglight blackouts are actually add-on items available from MINI (~$70.)that create the black-eye look. They are thick, adhesive-backed items with a conical inset at the fog lamps. I had 'em on the old '04 Pepper White and really liked the look so got 'em on this one too. They are a bit shinier than than the normal matte black.
